A few of my favorite things…
Hi friends!
My husband and I have been doing our best to stay home while still supporting small businesses through these uncertain times. We can stock up now/plan to gift our favorite goods to help keep them afloat, some are offering a sale to keep orders flowing, and some have decided to donate a portion of sales to charity (as I’m doing with No Kid Hungry this month). Either way, we’re shopping small when we can.
I’ve highlighted a few of our favorites here in case you find yourself searching for something other than sparkling mermaid vibes…
Fiddle Fish for our go-to candles (made from recycled glass jars), soaps, and bath soaks. Our wedding was filled with her amazing scents, in addition to giving them away as favors.
Angela Chvarak Studio for cheery ceramics that will brighten any mood! Handmade and painted, Angela is a true artist.
Madeline Chadwick Handbags for beautifully designed and handcrafted handbags. Inspired by the moon, stars, winter trips down to the beaches in Baja, and the nature that surrounds her in the PNW… at least that’s what I feel when I use them. Everyday!
Four Points Trading Co for candles made by what can only be witch craft. Birthday cake? Bourbon? Leather bound books? Brownies? Each scent bringing you right back to that memory.
Big Bud Press for the perfect brightly colored WFH ensemble. They pride themselves on ethical and local manufacturing practices here in LA, and their employees are always the sweetest! I’m currently living in a “rainbow magic waters” tie dye jumpsuit.
Pangeaseed for “ARTivism” at it’s finest. It’s always an honor collaborating with these guys in an effort to further the conseravation of our oceans. Check their shop page for incredible art fueled by passionate artists.
TYSA for women-run & produced clothing line, and my person go-to for dresses and jumpsuits!
Axelhoney to connect with the most talented person I know. I feel so lucky to wear her jewelry (like the pepperoni pizza slice earring everyone always about), hang her artwork on our walls, gift the most adorable children’s book she illustrated, rock her pins, and now my husband and I proudly show off some of our favorite tattoos by her hand.
These are just a few of the companies we choose to gift and fill our home with, and I’m always on the hunt for more! Let me know your favorite small businesses to shop from!
